ABOUT MOSS
COMPETITIVE THEATRE

Moss Performing Arts Academy Competitive Theatre is a small group of select students between the ages of 10-18, who perform, compete and train at a more intense level.

Each year the competitive theatre teams perform at numerous events, attend competitions, and challenge themselves at conventions and workshops. In the past, our teams have traveled to  Florida for The National Performing Arts Festival, Georgia for the Junior Theatre Festival, and even NYC all to take from the industry’s leading professionals and compete with groups from all over the country and internationally.

In addition to forming long-lasting friendships within Moss, we cultivate a community of artists who are well versed in the skills of networking and collaboration, as well as quick, critical, and creative thinking.  For students interested in furthering their arts education after Moss, we offer college prep in our theatre track that will aid and assist from start to finish!

We are very excited to announce we came in second place overall in the Musical Production Open Advanced category at MTCA in California this past February. We competed against 50+ groups from all over the world and snagged that second place trophy with our 15 minute production of Singin' In The Rain. Two of our students received scholarships to schools and summer programs and one student received first place in senior monologue. We will be returning in 2025 and look forward to competing yet again!
